Hi all! Today has been a productive day for me so far! LOL I decided this morning to go to my local art store who was having their last sale day and purchase some new Copics to add to my collection. I found some fabulous colors too! Anyhoo, I started to head home and got to thinkin’……wait a minute….my current storage container is suddenly not big enough! I need some growing room! So, I drove over to Office Max where I found a sturdy plastic container with a lid. I took one of the markers along too just so I knew it would fit. I brought it home…all excited!…then, found out upon filling it up…guess what??!! the LID doesn’t fit!! Ack! I thought…hmm, take it back? NAH!! I’m a papercrafter!!! surely I can figure SOMETHING out! LOL Then WHAM! all of sudden this little project was born. Totally unplanned, by-the-seat-of-my-pants kinda thing. But, I’m so thrilled with the way it turned out!! IN fact, so much so that I decided I just had to share this project in case anyone else wants to try it too AND I FINALLY got to use my Tim Holtz masks that I had purchased on sale at Michael’s and never used. Here’s the items that I used along with a charm holder and charms(in project pic) I bought at Michael’s as well a while ago:

Now, let me preface this by saying……I like the distressed look and decided to go with that seeming that NOTHING seems to want to stick to plastic! I adhered the chipboard letter (received as a gift) with super glue after finding out that apparently, super glue has a way of “melting” into the plastic. In addition, I sanded the surface of the plastic too, for adherence using my MM sanding block. Secondly, the handles? welllllllllllllllll………….:P I ended cutting them off of an old tote bag LOL but, I’m sure that you could find the nylon straps at Michael’s..Lastly, the “distress ink” I used was Stazon in Timber Brown. It did a phenomenal job! and mistakes clean up easily too with Stazon cleaner. SO! that all being said..LOL Here’s the final project:

I’ve always wanted one of these as the carpet drives me insane trying to roll on it!! It works like a charm!! and it just SCREAMED sue morris to me for some reason!

Okay…so it’s not a card…LOL I just wanted to demonstrate how versatile these digital images are. They’re so fun when you can resize them and apply them to different projects! My boyfriend pat, wanted me to color in this digi image from The Doodle Pantry so that he could frame it. He used one of my Spellbinder dies with some blue CS to make an inside mat around the image. In addition, I used my Copic Markers to color it up.

He’s into saltwater reefkeeping so, I wanted to make it special for him. I have also resized and reprinted some other images to go with this one. Including a single image seahorse and the corals. I just need to color them in and then I’ll have a trio of pictures to hang on the wall. He purchased the frames as a set at Michaels. I really love the strong accent of the black around the frame. I think it really emphasizes the image. This image is available for purchase at The Doodle Pantry if your interested in making some for yourself. TFL!

I just wanted to send out a big congrats to the new design team members selected this term for The Doodle Pantry! and I want to wish the departing team all the best! *BIG HUGS* I’m gonna miss you guys!! It’s always hard with that for me. I will visit of course in cyber land with my blog hops though! There’s NO escaping me…

Thankful is definitely what I feel every day. The Lord blesses me so abundantly. I couldn’t let another day go by without sharing with you a beautiful blog award I received from my wonderful friend nancy.
